Swansea agree fee with OGC Nice for left-back?

French media reporting that the Swans have agreed a fee Timothée Kolodziejczak

I'm mentioning this as the last time French media reported something (our interest in Benjamin Stambouli) they were ahead of the game. Today GetFootballNewsFrance are reporting that we've agreed a fee with Nice for their left back Timothée Kolodziejczak:

"According to our colleagues at Nice Matin, Swansea and OGC Nice have reached a fee agreement for the transfer of left-back Timothée Kolodziejczak.

The player must now agree personal terms with the Premier League side."

As with most transfer rumours, whether there's anything in this remains to be seen. What I can tell you about Kolodziejczak is slim, though I have purchased him in the past on both Football Manager and Fifa, and he was tidy-to-good on both. Don't read too much into that though. *CoughFreddyAduCough*

He's a seasoned French youth international, he's young, quick and is reportedly making a name for himself as a tidy left-back. I'm surprised, if this talk is true, that we're in for someone of this calibre given we've got Taylor & Kingsley available, but it could be that Kingsley isn't viewed as ready for the first-team yet, in which case the need for an alternate left-back becomes greater.

There has been no talk so far of a fee, but I'd be surprised if he was available for less than four million. It seems despite perhaps not being as well off as we have been given spending off the field, we're still willing to invest good money in the squad if the club deem it necessary.

I still think we could do with a right-back, mind you...
