Alex Bray to return to Swansea for treatment on knee injury
Nobody likes seeing players get injured, but it always seems especially cruel when young players are struck down. Spare a thought then for Alex Bray, who featured fairly regularly throughout our pre-season, who's already had to return to Swansea after seeing his loan debut for Plymouth cut short this weekend by a mystery knee injury.
Nineteen-year-old Bray, who looked lively on the wing for us in his late cameo against Villarreal, had only just come on off the bench when, under no challenge from an opponent, his knee gave way and he hit the deck. After being checked out by Argyle's medical staff he managed to come back on but sadly his knee gave way again, and he was unable to continue only twelve minutes after coming on from the bench.
He's going to be assessed by Swansea's medical staff today, and I'm sure we all wish him all the best in what we hope is a speedy recovery. Hopefully it's nothing serious and he's back playing sooner rather than later.
