Swansea's Polish stopper is taking things one game at a time, but is confident his new team can make a mark in the Premier League
When Lukasz Fabianski first arrived from Arsenal his prime motivation was clearly the opportunity to cement his place as a first-team Premier League goalkeeper. He certainly wasn't expecting his new side to be joint top of the table, level on points with Chelsea, by the time our trip to Stamford Bridge came around!
When asked this week about how he saw the season unfolding, Fabiabski was humble but rightly pointed out that, at this stage in the season, you can't rule anything out:
"Obviously it is early in the season and it is too early for things like that [talk of a top-four finish], but if we keep going as we are game by game, you never know in football. Hopefully we could do it, why not?
"We don't have to be afraid of anything. It's going to be a difficult game obviously but we are going to try to do something. It's a game to play and to enjoy.
"If we go there and keep our discipline and take our chances like we did against West Brom, then anything is possible." Lukasz Fabianski

Chelsea are certain be the toughest test we've faced so far this season, and Fabianski has also admitted he's expecting to busier this weekend than he has been so far this season:
"It's a big game to enjoy, not to fear. Playing away at Chelsea is always difficult but we don't have to be afraid of anyone. We went to Old Trafford and won on the opening day of the season so we know we can compete with the best teams. If we keep our discipline and takes our chances the way we have been then anything is possible.
"It's a shame the international break came when it did because we made a great start to the season with three wins from three. That puts you off but the manager has kept the pressure on us to keep working hard. We've done well so far, but it's only the start and we have a tough match coming. I'm really enjoying my football here and that shows on the pitch. But that's only natural when things are going so well.
"We're very pleased with the defence so far. I'm working closely with Ashley Williams and we already have a good understanding. We know what we expect from each other and we haven't been giving opponents much of a chance.
"I'm sure it will be different at Chelsea with the talent they have in attack but we're targeting four wins from four."

So far I really like what I've seen of Fabianski, and my opinion that he's an upgrade on Vorm just keeps being strengthened. As mentioned though this weekend will see our first really tough test of the season, and if Fabianski is celebrating a third clean sheet in four games come 5pm on Saturday it'll truly be one of the results of the season.
I'll get the preview of the Chelsea game online either later this evening or tomorrow first thing. Until then...
