Swans Trust Director Calls For Reduction In Ticket Prices

Huw Cooze has spoken out against high ticket prices in the wake of the new Premier League tv package

With each Premier League match now costing BT & Sky over £10million to broadcast, it's high time something is done about ticket pricing. The proportion of a club's income which is made up of matchday revenue must surely now be getting smaller and smaller, and while the Swans are one of the leaders in terms of ticketing initiatives and keeping prices respectable this is a general point which is of concern to fans of all clubs.

Swansea Supporters Trust Director Huw Cooze has spoken out against high pricing, saying it's high time something was done about the current inflationary trend:

"It's an area of high unemployment and we need to try and get as many supporters through the turnstiles as we can.
"[We] need to look at the pricing and rail seating that has come from the German model. And we know that the German model price system is fantastic.
"We are never going to get there unless everybody gets there, but we can certainly look at our pricing. That's one of the things I'm keen to stress and push through at our board level."
