Football event duo run by Welsh duo going from strength to strength
There's an old quote attributed to Mahatma Gandhi - "Be the change that you wish to see in the world". Inspire Football, run by ex-Olchfa Comprehensive School pupil Jonathan Trew and Cardiff born Jed Davies (Oxford University coach & author) have set about trying to bring about discussion amongst football folk, in order to promote an increased understanding of the game. They put on events where respected football coaches give in-depth speeches on tactics, physiotherapy and more, and next month they've got an event which may well interest Swansea City fans.
On the 8th of June they're holding an event at the Into London Education Centre, and one of their speakers - David Adams (Wales International Coach & Principal Lecturer of Football Coaching Performance) - is giving a speech entitled "Integrated Approaches within Professional Football – a Swansea City FC case study". Seems interesting enough to warrant attending for me! Anyone with an interest in the tactical side of the game and a love of Swansea City should definitely look at making the trip to the big smoke for this, as David also has a special announcement he's making on the day.
Here's the official press release from Inspire!
Join our inspiring speakers for a day of discussion, learning and networking. Inspire London takes place on the 8th of June at the ‘Into world education centre’ on Mile End Road, London.
We welcome David Adams who will be presenting a Swansea City case study on the Integrated approaches within Professional Football. David is a Wales international coach with a bright future ahead of him...and a special announcement to be made by him on the day itself.
Further to this we have Jed Davies who will be speaking about newly appointed Marseille manager Bielsa and Jed will also be presenting the All Blacks as a case study and examining what football can learn from the great rugby team.
Louis Lancaster will present his findings thus far on Bayern Munich over a two season period - from Heynckes to the now recored breaking Guardiola and there will also be time for a debate held by Matt Whitehouse author of ‘The Way forward’ who will be putting forward his own views on the FA’s 4 point plan and offering his own views on the matter.
The conference will be attended by professional and grass roots coaches and we have coaches travelling internationally from Hungary, Holland, Luxembourg and Ireland to attend Inspire London.
