Players under the age of 21 do not have to be registered, but some of the notable U21's players are:

Josh Sheehan (Wales)

Jay Fulton (Scotland)

James Demetriou (Australia)

Kenji Gorre (Holland)

Adam King (Scotland)

The squad is pretty much as every Swans' fan would have predicted although the one, I suppose "surprise" selection would be Curtis Obeng (who is now 25 years of age) ahead of Swansea stalwart Alan Tate.

Personally I would have preferred to have put Tate in the squad as he is a Jack through and through, and also because he can cover three positions (both full-back positions and centre-back), although he has suffered a bad injury recently, and Monk was quoted as saying the game is to quick for himself and Tate nowadays. It's possible that were it not for his recent injury he could well have been offered a place in the squad. Tatey, that is!

To be fair to Obeng he has never been given a chance, so I cannot comment personally on how good he is, but at 25 years of age he can no longer be dubbed as a prospect, and therefore if he doesn't appear for the first team this season he should be released when his contract expires in a year's time.

Another thing that grabbed my attention was some of the player's names on the list, for example Gylfi's middle name is 'Thor', how great is that? And Wilfried 'Guemiand' Bony, Ashley 'Errol' Williams & Wayne "Big Nev" Routledge! Plus, how the hell you pronounce "Ruaridhri" 'Rory'? And I thought Welsh names were spelled interestingly!

In Sigurdsson's case his middle name is, at present, entirely accurate. A hammer-wielding god capable of creating lightning strikes? Sounds right to me!
